Feature Follow Friday is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read. It's a way for bloggers and readers alike to make some new friends and gain some new followers as well. The point of this hop is to follow other bloggers. I follow you, you follow me.
Also, this week's featured bloggers are Something to Browse and Books to the Tea, so make sure you check them out too.
While I do prefer GFC and/or Bloglovin follows, if you would like to follow me via email/twitter etc, that's great too! Also, please leave a comment so I can follow you back!
What about you? How did you find out about new books?

Question of the Week:
Before blogging (dark times people!), how would you find out about new books or did you?Back before university (and Goodreads and blogging), I was a frequent visitor of libraries. My parents were firm believers of why buy books when you can borrow. The logic behind the concept was sound (even though I love owning books and often dreamt of starting my own book collection). When you borrow books, you have to read them before their due-date which really motivates me into getting through my book hauls. Almost all of my "finds" stemmed from the library.
What about you? How did you find out about new books?
That is pretty sound logic! My mom would say the same thing, but I too just like owning books! Plus I later learned you can sometimes meet the author and get said book signed! a good reason to own books! ;)
ReplyDeleteHere's my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Most of my books came from libraries too, they still do! I used to spend hours browsing the shelves and seeing what took my fancy. I kind of miss that, although it is nice knowing exactly what you're looking for and getting excited when you find it!
ReplyDeleteNo F&F from me this week, but I've nominated you for the Book Reading Habits Tag. Find out more here here :)
Have a great weekend!
I had about...6 different ways XD
ReplyDeleteAs a child, ordering from the ancient scholastic mags we got in schools XD and bookfairs...Hmm..teen? I believe libraries were my main source, and before I understood book clubs XD Id join those "Buy 5 books for 1.99" clubs XD
Word of mouth was another source, and brick and mortar stores were my last stop before the internet blew up!

ReplyDeleteSo agree on the motivation to get books read before they're due back! Although now all the renewing etc can be done online, that's less of the case now I'm older. (And I'm not scared of the librarian!)
