Feature Follow Friday: Favourite Outdoor Reading Spot

Feature Follow Friday is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee Alison Can Read. It's a way for bloggers and readers alike to make some new friends and gain some new followers as well. The point of this hop is to follow other bloggers. I follow you, you follow me.

Also, this week's featured bloggers are Sarcasm & Lemons and Sylvia Hubbard, so make sure you check them out too.

While I do prefer GFC follows, if you would like to follow me via bloglovin/email/twitter etc, that's great too! Also, please leave a comment so I can follow you back!

Question of the week: Favourite Outdoors Reading Spot

Spring is in the air! Show off your favourite outdoors reading spot. If you don't go outside... well where else do you read that isn't inside your house? We want pics!
Unfortunately, work plays a huge role in my life at the moment. So whenever I am not at work, I'm usually curled up at home, resting after a long day (by lying comatose on the couch). Whenever I do get the chance to read, it's almost always at home.

Out of necessity, the outside spot that I frequently find myself reading is on the commute to and from work. So yup, I'm talking about train stations, the trains and then the trams. Is that a bit sad?

Anyway, enough about me! What is your favourite outdoor reading spot? Leave a comment or link below and I'll be sure to check it out. Perhaps it'll give me some inspiration to find a better outdoor reading spot :D

  1. Actually, I think it's kind of cool that you get to read on your commute. I work up the street from where I live, so I have like zero commute. Not that I'm complaining about that fact, but reading on my commute simply isn't an option for me. It's cool that you get to do that. :D My FF Post

  4. Unfortunately I get motion sickness so reading while travelling is not an option for me. Glad that you can do it though.

  5. Reading while commuting is pretty cool. :) I can never do that here because I read ebooks most of the time. It's not pretty safe in where I live :(

  6. Honestly I think it would be so relaxing to be able to read to and from work. I would always go to my car and read on my lunch break to get away from everything.

  8. Hopping through. What a pretty train station. I found that reading was the nice part of a long commute when I took the bus. Not so much when I drove.

    1. Haha, that train station is where I switch trains in the mornings. On early mornings like the one when I took this picture, there are not many commuters and I can read in peace. Some mornings when I'm crammed into the train like sardines in a can, that's a different story :)

  13. I actually enjoy reading in train stations. There's something about the no-man's-land feel of the place that gets me really relaxed and at ease, I dunno if that's weird lol but it's me. I also love reading in trains, less so in trams since where pickpockets do their dirty work so being at the top of your game is recommended, lol.
But yeah, I'm totally with you on the reading in stations!

  25. Though not necessarily my favourite reading spot - but certainly my daily commute is where I do most of my reading! I commute about 45 mins each way (only one train), and luckily I mostly get a seat. After so many years of commuting I know the best trains :)

    1. Hi Peggy :) you're lucky. My station is halfway on a train line and I have to change trains prior to getting into the city so I almost never get a seat on the train. Have gotten very good at reading one-handed with the other hand on the rail (without bending the book spine too!). :D
